About this ophthalmic tech gift
Ophthalmic techs are the people who get a patient ready for the eye doctor: they run the autorefractor, take the pressure readings, image the retina and make sure the lenses in the exam chair are right before the doctor walks in. It's detail work done fast, usually on a full schedule, and the gifts they keep tend to be the ones that recognize that. A soft tee for a clinic day, a hoodie for the cold exam room, or a mug that's clearly theirs for the break room all work well. Put the words ophthalmic tech on the front and add their clinic or specialty on the second line, such as cornea, glaucoma or optometry practice, so it feels written for them. Many techs also earn a certification, so if they have one, type in their credential rather than guessing. A gift that names the exact job is the one they'll wear to the next shift.
