About this opthalmic tech gift
Ophthalmic technicians are the people who get patients ready for the eye doctor: taking history, measuring pressure, running the imaging and testing that makes an exam possible, often while juggling a waiting room full of people with dilated pupils and sunglasses they can't see through. It's skilled, detail-heavy work that rarely gets thanked, which is exactly why a small, specific gift lands well. A tee for the drive in, a hoodie for the chilly exam rooms, or a mug that's clearly theirs for the break room coffee. Type in their title as it appears on their badge, and add a second line for their practice, their specialty or the credential they earned, such as COA or COT. That turns a generic profession shirt into one that's obviously meant for them. Ophthalmic techs often get a gift around the holidays or when they finish certification, so a few weeks of lead time helps.
