About this publications director gift
A publications director usually runs the whole output of an organization: the newsletters, annual reports, journals or magazines, and the production schedule that keeps them on time. The work is mostly invisible when it goes right, and the people in the role often spend long stretches juggling editors, designers and print deadlines. A gift that acknowledges that feels better than a generic office item. A tee or hoodie with their title on it is a nod to the job, and a mug with the title and their name is a quiet reminder on a desk full of proofs. Add the name of the publication or department on the second line if you know it, and the design starts to belong to their particular corner of the work. Many people in this role are hard to shop for because they already have plenty of tote bags and pens, so something wearable or useful for the kitchen counter tends to land well.
