About this purchasing intern gift
A purchasing intern is usually learning the job from the ground up: reconciling invoices, chasing vendor quotes, figuring out why a PO got stuck in approval for three days. They're often still new enough that nobody has thought to get them anything, which makes a small gift land harder than you'd expect. Shirts and hoodies suit the first months of an internship, when they're wearing whatever the office dress code allows on a Friday. A mug with their name on it marks them as one of the team, not a temp who might be gone by August. If you're buying for a whole purchasing group, one design with each intern's name on their own shirt is a nicer way to welcome a new cohort than a card passed around the desks. Add the year they started, or the department, and the design fits their actual week rather than a generic office joke.
