About this research scientist gift
A research scientist spends long stretches on experiments that fail before one finally works, so the gifts they keep tend to be the ones that acknowledge the grind. Lab coats and bench time mean cold hands and long days, which is why a soft tee or a warm hoodie gets worn for real. A mug on the bench is often the only thing that survives a full day of pipetting, and a name on it stops it from walking off to someone else's desk. What lands best is something that recognizes the work itself. Type research scientist into the text box, or add a specialty like oncology, genomics or materials on the second line, and the shirt starts to sound like the person who actually does the job. If they're recently defended a dissertation or landed a first position, add that year so the gift marks the moment.
