About this rn nicu gift
NICU nurses care for the smallest patients in the hospital, often babies who arrived weeks early and stay for months. Their shifts are long and quiet in a way that can be exhausting, and the gifts they keep tend to be the ones that acknowledge the specific work: the tiny hands, the monitors, the families who sit by the isolette all night. A soft tee works well for the drive home after a long shift. A hoodie is useful in the cold, chilly unit, where nurses often wear extra layers. A mug with their name keeps the break room coffee from walking off. Putting RN NICU on the shirt, or adding their name and the year they started, makes it clearly theirs. If you're buying for a whole NICU team, one design with each nurse's name in the Team Shop is a thoughtful way to say thank you. NICU nurses also work through many holidays, so a gift that arrives before a long stretch of shifts can land especially well.
