About this school crossing guard gift
School crossing guards are out in every kind of weather, usually before the first bell and long after the last car has pulled away. They know the regulars by name, the kids who wave, the parents who run late, and the one dog that always stops in the middle of the crosswalk. A gift for them should feel like it was made for that corner. A tee they can wear on a cold morning under a reflective vest, a hoodie for the hour they stand still waiting for the bus line to clear, or a mug for the coffee they need before the first crossing. Put their name on it, or the school they work at, and it becomes theirs. If you're buying for a whole crew of guards in a district, one design with each person's name on their own shirt is a better thank-you than a card passed around the office. Many schools mark a crossing guard appreciation day in early spring, so ordering a few weeks ahead keeps the gift on time.
