About this scrub technician gift
Scrub techs spend their shifts setting up sterile fields, passing instruments and keeping the operating room moving, often on their feet for hours before the first incision. The gifts they keep are the ones that make the off hours easier: a soft tee for the drive home, a hoodie for the chilly OR, a mug that's clearly theirs so it doesn't wander into the break room. What lands best is the detail that shows you understand the job. Put scrub tech on the shirt, or add their surgical specialty such as ortho, cardiac or general surgery, and the gift stops being generic. If they've finished a program or earned a certification, add their credential, or write their credential if you're unsure of the exact title. Scrub techs often work alongside whole surgical teams, so a shirt design with each person's name can make a fun gift for the whole team.
