About this spd tech gift
An SPD tech, short for sterile processing department technician, is the person who cleans, inspects, assembles and sterilizes the surgical instruments that every operating room depends on. Most of the job happens out of sight, in a back room of the hospital, on shifts that often start before the surgeons arrive. That's why the gifts they keep tend to be the ones that acknowledge the work nobody sees. A soft tee for the drive in before dawn, a hoodie for the cold department, or a mug that's clearly theirs so it stays off the shared shelf. Make it personal by adding their name, and consider the credential they earned, such as CRCST, if they hold one. For a whole department, a single design with each person's name in the Team Shop makes a strong thank-you that a box of donuts can't match.
