About this truss designer gift
A truss designer works out how a roof, bridge or floor will carry its load, usually at a desk with a stack of drawings and a software window open. Their day is measurements, load calculations and checking that a member won't buckle under snow, and most of the work is invisible once the building is up. A gift that names the job gives them something to point at. A tee with truss designer on the front suits the office or the job site, where people ask what the job is and get to explain it. A hoodie covers the cold warehouse or the early drive to a site, and an 11 oz mug is the one that sits next to the monitor through the long estimating days. Add a line for their firm or their state if they'd like, and it reads as theirs. Some designers also like a gift that is a little dry and honest about the work, and a truss designer shirt usually lands that way.
