About this activity specialist gift
Activity specialists spend their days making sure the people they work with have something to look forward to. That might mean running bingo in a memory care wing, leading a chair exercise class, setting up a craft table, or planning the monthly birthday party that residents talk about for weeks. It's work that takes patience, a loud and cheerful voice, and a supply closet full of markers, beads and board games. A gift for them works best when it's something they'd actually wear on the floor or use at their desk between programs. A tee or hoodie with their title on it is easy to wear on a long day, and a mug keeps the coffee going through the afternoon schedule. You can make it theirs by adding their name, the name of their facility or program, or a line like Fun Coordinator. If you're shopping for a whole activities department, one matching design with everyone's name on it makes a nice thank-you from administration or from the families they've helped.
