About this advertiser gift
Advertisers live in a world of briefs, deadlines and one more round of revisions. They sell ideas for a living, so a gift for them has to have a little wit in it or they'll quietly judge the copy. A tee that says advertiser in a clean, confident design works for the office, the client lunch and the Friday when nobody's pitching anything. Add their agency role, their specialty or a tagline they'd actually say, and it stops being a generic profession shirt and starts sounding like them. A hoodie suits the overheated conference room and the late night before a big pitch, and a mug sits right next to the laptop where the cold coffee collects. If you're buying for a whole creative team, the Team Shop prints one design with each person's name, which beats another round of branded pens. Type the word, preview it live, and adjust the second line until it reads like something they'd have written themselves.
