About this alliance director gift
An alliance director spends the day connecting people who don't report to each other: partner organizations, community groups, funders, coalitions. The work is relationships, long email threads and meetings that need a steady hand. Recognition tends to be quiet, so a gift that says you see what they build lands well. Think of what their week looks like: back-to-back calls, a conference or two, a coalition meeting where they're the one holding the room together. A mug for the desk, a tee for casual Fridays, a hoodie for the airport. Add the name of their alliance or coalition on the second line and it stops being generic and becomes theirs. If you're shopping for a whole team, one design with each person's name makes a thoughtful thank-you after a big launch, a successful grant cycle or a milestone year. Directors also change jobs and retire, so a send-off gift with their title and years of service goes a long way.
