About this application support lead gift
Application support leads are the people who get the phone call when the system breaks at 2 a.m. and the one who keeps a dozen teams from stepping on each other during a release. They juggle incident queues, vendor tickets and a stack of runbooks, and most of the thanks they get comes from the people they quietly unblocked. A gift for someone in this job should acknowledge that work without being cute about it. Put their title on a shirt or hoodie and it becomes something they can wear on a Friday when the on-call pager finally goes quiet. A mug with the title on it suits the desk, where most of their coffee gets drunk while the monitoring dashboard blinks. If your person is a team lead, a title tee in matching designs makes a good thank-you for a whole support rotation, with each person's first name on their own shirt through the Team Shop.
