About this boyne city gift
Boyne City is a small lakeside town in northern Michigan, and people who grew up there or summer there tend to hold on to it. A shirt with the town name is how they claim it at a state park, a Lake Charlevoix dock, or a college campus two hundred miles south. It's a gift for the person who still gets back for the summer season, the one who texts photos of the harbor in January, or the transplant who keeps a little piece of north Michigan on the kitchen counter. Add the year they graduated from high school, or a second line with a street or neighborhood they know well, and the shirt stops being a souvenir and starts being theirs. A hoodie works for the cold months up north, and a mug is the easy daily reminder for someone who misses the town.
