About this deer isle gift
Deer Isle is a small island town off the Maine coast, reached by a bridge from the mainland, and a lot of the people who live there are tied to the water. Lobstering, boatbuilding, and the summer people who come up for a few weeks and never quite leave are all part of its daily life. A Deer Isle shirt is how someone who grew up there, or who spent summers there as a kid, tells the world where they're from. It's also a fitting gift for someone who moved away and misses the harbor fog and the quiet winters. Because it's a small place, the name itself carries a lot of meaning, so a shirt with just Deer Isle on it often says more than a longer message would. For a newborn with island roots, a onesie is a sweet first piece of their hometown wardrobe.
