About this east dubuque gift
East Dubuque is a small city on the Illinois side of the Mississippi, across the river from Dubuque, Iowa. People who grew up there often carry the name for life, whether they stayed on the river or moved off to a bigger town and kept the hometown on a shirt. A tee or hoodie with East Dubuque on it is how they show that background at a reunion, a game, or a visit back home. Because the name is closely tied to its neighbor across the water, a shirt can also work as a joke between people who know both towns. For someone who has left, a mug with the name is a small daily link back to where they started. Add a graduation year or a class name on a second line and the design becomes about their own history there, not just the place.
