About this eastsound gift
Eastsound is a village on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington, where the ferry is the way in and out and everyone knows the harbor. People who live there or grew up there tend to hold onto it tightly, whether they're fishing, running a shop on the main street or coming back for a summer after years away. A shirt with Eastsound on it is a way to say where you're from without a long explanation. Small places like this don't have much in the way of souvenir shops, so a personal design lands better than something generic. Many designs have a second line, so you can add the year they moved back, the ferry they take to work or the name of the street they live on. A mug suits the person who wants Eastsound in their kitchen every morning, and a hoodie is good for the cold, wet months on the water.
