About this gallipolis ferry gift
Gallipolis Ferry is a small place, a few hundred people along the Ohio River in Mason County, West Virginia, so the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with the town name is how someone says where they're from without a long explanation, whether they're home for the summer or living three states away. It suits a homecoming, a family reunion, or a friend who still gets excited when they drive past the old landmarks. Because the town is small, the second line is the place to make it personal: a graduation year, a street, a family name or a nickname the people back home would recognize. A mug works well for the one who moved away and wakes up missing the river. A hoodie fits the cold mornings on the riverbank, and kids tees let a family dress the next generation in the same name.
