About this glendive gift
Glendive is a small city in eastern Montana, out where the Yellowstone River runs close to the railroad tracks and the wind has room to work. Anyone from there tends to carry it with them, whether they stayed or left for college, the military or a job in a bigger place. A shirt with the town's name is how they say where they're from, and it's a good answer to the question people ask when they hear the accent or spot a Montana plate. Because the word is short and simple, a second line does a lot of the work: a graduation year, a high school class, a street, or a family name turns the shirt into their own. For someone who moved away, a mug or hoodie with Glendive on it is a quiet reminder of home that doesn't need an explanation.
