About this interlachen gift
Interlachen is a small place, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. It's the kind of town where everybody knows the high school, the lake and the road in, so a shirt with the name on it reads as home rather than tourist souvenir. Someone who left for college or work probably still thinks of it as the reference point for where they're from. A tee or hoodie is a good way to show that pride, especially for a visit back or a holiday when the whole family gathers. Since the name is less widely known than a big city, a shirt also tends to start conversations: people ask where it is, and the wearer gets to explain. A mug for the kitchen works for the grandparent or parent who stayed behind, and a baby onesie is a way to pass the name on. Add a year or a line about why the place matters to them, and the gift becomes theirs in a way a generic town shirt never could.
