Yellow Dot Kealakekua mug

About this kealakekua gift

Kealakekua is a town on the Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, and people who live there tend to be tied to it in a very direct way. Many of them grew up near the bay, surf or fish, or have family who have been there for generations. A gift with the town's name is a way of saying you know where they're from and that it matters to them. Because the town is small, the name itself is the story, so the design can stay simple and let the word do the work. For someone who has moved away and misses the coastline and the slower pace, a mug or tee with Kealakekua on it is a daily reminder of home. For someone still living there, a hoodie for the cooler evenings up the hill is a practical choice that still says exactly where they belong. Add a second line with a year they moved, a school they attended or a street name to make it personal to them.
