About this klawock gift
Klawock is a small town on Prince of Wales Island in southeast Alaska, and people who grew up there or come back for visits tend to hold onto it hard. A shirt or mug with the town name is a way to say where you're from without a long explanation, whether that's for a homecoming, a summer visit or a relative who moved away and misses the place. Because the town is small and far from most of the country, a Klawock piece often gets noticed by people who know it and starts a conversation with people who don't. Many designs have a second line, so you can add a year, a class, or a family name underneath the town. For someone who's left, a mug on the kitchen counter is a small daily reminder of home. For someone still there, a hoodie is practical gear for the island's cool, wet weather.
