About this marengo gift
Marengo is a small place, and people who come from it tend to hold on to that. Whether they grew up there, moved away for school or work, or just pass through on the way to somewhere else, a Marengo shirt is a way of saying where they're from without a long explanation. Small towns are full of people who know each other, so a shirt or mug with the town name lands as a personal gift rather than a souvenir. For someone who has left, it's a reminder of home they can wear to the gym or set on the desk. For someone who never left, it's an easy way to show pride at the county fair or the high school game. To make it theirs, add a second line with a graduation year, a street, a family name or the year they moved back. That detail is what turns the town name into their story.
