Yellow Dot Montoya mug

About this montoya gift

Montoya is a Spanish surname with roots in New Mexico and across the Southwest, and it shows up in families that have been in one place for generations and in families that have scattered to other states. A shirt with the family name is a way of saying where you come from and who you belong to. It works well for reunions, for a family that gathers every summer, and for the relative who has always been the one keeping everyone in touch. Add a second line for a year, a town, or a branch of the family, and the shirt starts to tell a story. A baby onesie with Montoya on it is a nice way to welcome a new family member, and a hoodie suits the cousin who wears it every cold morning. A mug on the kitchen counter works for the grandparents, where the family eventually ends up anyway. If you're ordering for a group, the Team Shop lets you choose one design and paste each person's name so everyone gets their own shirt.
