About this onsted gift
Onsted is a small village in Lenawee County, Michigan, and a lot of the people who grew up there carry it with them long after they've moved on. A shirt with the village name is how someone who left years ago says where they're from, and how a current resident wears their hometown without having to explain it to strangers. Small places like this run on pride more than population, so a gift that names the village rather than a bigger city next door tends to land well with the people who know it best. Think about who they are: the kid who grew up on those streets, the grandparent who still drives back for the reunion, the person who never stopped being from here. Add a second line for a graduation year, a family name or the year they moved away, and the design becomes theirs. Because Onsted is a small village, you may find there's less to build on than with a big city, so a simple, clean design often works better than a busy one.
