About this orono gift
Orono is a small city on the Penobscot River in Maine, home to the University of Maine, so a lot of people wearing an Orono shirt are students, alumni or families who spent a few years there and never quite left. The town has river views, winter quiet and a college-town energy that comes and goes with the academic calendar. A shirt with Orono on it is how someone shows they know where that is, which saves a lot of explaining. For a student heading out after graduation, a hoodie with the city and their graduating year works well as a keepsake. For a parent who visits every fall, a mug is a daily reminder of the drive up. Add a second line with a street, a class year or a nickname to make it personal to them.
