About this shonto gift
Shonto is a small community in northern Arizona, on the Navajo Nation reservation, in the Kaibito Plateau area near the Tuba City region. I'm not certain of the local details beyond that, so the best gift here is about the person rather than the place. A shirt or mug with Shonto on it tells someone who lives there, or who grew up there, or who simply loves the high desert and the people who call it home, that you noticed where they're from. Shonto is a name people carry with them, and a Shonto hoodie for cold desert nights or a Shonto mug for a morning coffee at home can mean more than a generic souvenir. Many designs have a second line, so you can add a year, a family name or a nickname the person would recognize. Ask the recipient how they'd like the name written before you order, since place names are often spelled and pronounced in specific ways.
