About this soquel gift
Soquel is a small unincorporated community in Santa Cruz County, tucked along Soquel Creek and the hills east of the city of Santa Cruz. Locals who grew up there tend to hold onto it, and a Soquel shirt is how they say so without a long explanation. It suits the person who still gets the redwoods-and-fog feeling on a foggy morning, or the one who moved away and misses the small-town pace. Because the name is distinctive, a Soquel shirt tends to start conversations with strangers who've been there or know the area. For a gift, think about what the person does with their time in the area, whether that's the creek trail, the farm stands, or the drive to the coast. A hoodie for cold mornings or a mug for the kitchen table are easy choices. You can add a second line such as a street, a school or the year they moved, which makes the design feel like theirs.
