About this waubay gift
Waubay is a small town in northeastern South Dakota, and the people who live there tend to be proud of it in the way small-town folks are: loudly, and with a lot of opinions about where they're from. A Waubay shirt is how someone who grew up there, or who married into a Waubay family, shows it at a state fair, a college dorm, or the grocery store two counties over where nobody knows the name. It's a gift that says you know where they come from, which matters more to some people than any gadget. For the former resident who moved to a bigger city and still tells people where they're from, a Waubay mug on the kitchen counter does the job every morning. Because the place is small, the name itself is the story, so a simple design with the town in plain letters usually reads best.
