Alaunt gifts for the people who love them
The Alaunt is an ancient type of working dog, a big, powerful hound-and-mastiff sort of animal that's been gone for centuries as a pure breed. That makes the people who love the name a particular crowd: history readers, medieval fans, and owners of mastiff-type dogs who like the idea that their big lug has a famous ancestor. A gift for one of them works best when it nods to that. A dark tee or hoodie suits the heavy, old-world feel of the word. A mug does well for the person who reads about dog history over coffee. Because the breed itself isn't around today, you can make the shirt about their own dog instead. Type Alaunt as the main word, then add the dog's name, a nickname or a year on the second line where the design has one. It reads like an inside joke for dog people, and the right person will love explaining it.
Alaunt gift questions
What is an Alaunt?
The Alaunt is an ancient breed of large working dog, described in medieval times as a hunting and guarding animal. It no longer exists as a distinct breed, which is part of why the name appeals to history and dog-lore fans.
Can I put my own dog's name on an Alaunt design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line where you can add your dog's name, a nickname or a year. The live preview shows you exactly how it will look before you order.
Is this a good gift for someone who owns a mastiff or similar big dog?
It can be. The Alaunt is often linked in popular history to large mastiff-type dogs, so owners of those breeds tend to enjoy the reference, especially if you add their dog's name.
Can I change the word to a different breed?
Yes. Every breed has its own page, and you can type any breed name into a design to see it in the preview.
What sizes do the alaunt shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an alaunt gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
