Picking a gift for an executive sous chef
An executive sous chef runs the kitchen when the executive chef is away, and on a busy Saturday that can mean calling the line, expediting plates, handling the walk-in and cutting the schedule at the same time. They usually stand for twelve hours or more, smell like a grill most of the day, and get very little credit from the dining room. A gift that acknowledges the actual job tends to land best: something they can wear to the restaurant on a day off, or a mug for the office corner where they do the ordering and the schedule. Put their name on it, or the restaurant's name if they're proud of the place, and add the title itself so it reads as theirs and not as a generic chef shirt. Chefs at this level tend to notice when a gift is specific, and a shirt that says executive sous chef tells them you know exactly where they stand in the brigade.
Executive Sous Chef gift questions
Can I put the restaurant name on the shirt too?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can add the restaurant name there while the title stays as the main text. Check the preview to see how the two lines sit together.
Is executive sous chef a common title to print on a shirt?
It's a fairly specific title, so the designs for it are built around the role itself. If you'd rather use just chef or sous chef, those words have their own designs you can pick instead.
Can I order a shirt for every person in the kitchen?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste the list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the executive sous chef shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an executive sous chef gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
