Gifts from Hooper Bay
Hooper Bay is a small Yup'ik community on the Bering Sea coast of western Alaska, and people who grew up there or belong to it carry that place with them wherever they go. A shirt with the village name is how they claim it: for a visit home, for the flight back to Anchorage, or just to mark where they're from in a city full of strangers. Because the village is small, the people who know it tend to know each other, so a Hooper Bay design is often the kind of thing that gets noticed and remarked on. The name plus a second line for a family, a class year or a simple date makes it theirs. Most designs here come in tees, hoodies and mugs, and the mug suits the person who misses the coast and wants a daily reminder of the place.
Hooper Bay gift questions
Can I add a family name or year to a Hooper Bay shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a name, a year or a group. Type it in and the preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Are there Hooper Bay designs for kids and babies?
Yes. There are kids tees, kids dark tees and baby onesies with the village name. Use the product filter on the page to see those options.
Can I order one design for a whole family or group?
Yes. In the Team Shop, choose one design, paste a list of names and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
Which design should I pick for someone who lives away from Alaska?
A mug or a hoodie tends to work well because they get used every day. Choose a design with the village name and a line for a year or family name to make it personal.
