Gifts from Palmetto
Palmetto is the nickname people use for South Carolina, after the state tree and the palmetto that shows up on its flag and seal. A Palmetto shirt is how someone who grew up there, or still lives there, tells a stranger where they're from. It's the shirt for the Lowcountry beach weekend, the drive home for the holidays, or the friend who left for a job in another state and still talks about shrimp and grits. Because the name is tied to the state's identity rather than one town, it works for almost anyone from South Carolina. A hoodie suits the cooler months, a dark tee suits a summer cookout, and a mug fits the kitchen of the person who misses home. Add a second line with their town, their college or the year they moved away to make it feel like theirs.
Palmetto gift questions
Does Palmetto refer to a specific city?
Palmetto is a nickname for South Carolina, drawn from the state tree. The designs use the word as a state-wide reference, so you can add a town or second line if you want something more local.
Can I add a town or year under the word?
Many designs have a second line. Type in the town, college or year and the preview will show how it sits on the shirt before you order.
Which product is best for a gift?
It depends on how they'll use it. Tees and hoodies suit everyday wear and the mug suits a desk or kitchen. Check which items have the design you like best.
What sizes do the palmetto shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a Palmetto gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
