Picking a gift for a research asst
A research assistant spends a lot of the day with spreadsheets, interview notes, reference lists and a stack of papers that never seems to shrink. Many of them are students or recent graduates still working out what comes next, and others are career staff who keep a lab or project running behind the scenes. Either way, the gifts that land tend to be practical and a little bit personal: a hoodie for the cold library or the drafty lab, a mug for the long afternoon of coding transcripts, a tee for the weekend. Make it theirs by adding the word research assistant in full, or the abbreviated research asst if that's how the lab label reads, and then use the second line for a name, a lab or department, or a graduation year. It turns a generic job title into something they'd actually wear.
Research Asst gift questions
Is research asst the same as research assistant?
Both spellings appear in job postings and lab rosters. Use whichever matches the title they actually hold, since the design text is what prints on the shirt or mug.
Can I add a lab or department name to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a lab, a department or a year. Type it in and the preview updates so you can check the spacing first.
What's a good gift for a research assistant starting a new position?
A mug or tee with their title and start year is a nice marker of the new job. It's useful at the desk and personal enough to mean something.
What sizes do the research asst shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a research asst gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
