Picking a gift for a sous chef
A sous chef is the person who keeps the kitchen running when the executive chef is on the pass or out front. They're usually the first in and the last out, managing the line, the prep lists and the inventory while everyone else is still waking up. A gift that lands with them is something practical for the long hours: a hoodie for the walk-in and the cold dish pit, a tee that feels good under a jacket after service, a mug for the first coffee before the lunch rush. The shirts and mugs that make them smile tend to have their title on them, since it's the role they worked up to. You can add the restaurant or station they run, pastry, grill or garde manger, on a second line, which turns a generic chef shirt into something only they would wear. If they're just starting out, a line with the year they got the promotion marks the moment as well.
Sous Chef gift questions
Can I add the restaurant name or a station under sous chef?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type a restaurant name, a station or a year there. The live preview shows how it will sit before you order.
Is there a sous chef design for kids?
Kids tees come in a few designs with the same wording, so a child who wants to play at being a sous chef can have one too.
What's a good gift for someone who just got promoted to sous chef?
A hoodie or mug with the title and the year is a good choice. It's something they can keep as a record of the step up.
Can I use this for a whole kitchen crew?
Yes. Use the Team Shop to pick one design and paste the names of the cooks, so each person gets a shirt with their own name.
What sizes do the sous chef shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a sous chef gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
