Picking a gift for a test pilot
Test pilots fly aircraft that nobody has flown before, so the people who do it tend to be precise, a little superstitious about checklists, and very good at not talking about the scary parts. A gift that says test pilot tells them their work is seen, which matters for a job most people only hear about in a movie. Pick a light tee or a dark one, depending on whether they're a hangar-floor type or a flight-suit type. A hoodie works for the cold ramp at dawn, and a mug is the one thing on the desk that's definitely theirs. If you want to go further, add the aircraft they test, the year they earned their rating, or the squadron or company name in the second line. Keep it to what they're proud of and it will land.
Test Pilot gift questions
Can I add an aircraft type or a company name?
Yes. Most designs have a second line where you can type an aircraft type, a year, a company or a squadron. The preview shows you how it sits before you order.
Is there a test pilot design for kids?
Yes, there are kids tees and kids dark tees with the same wording. They make a good gift for a child who wants to be a pilot one day.
Can I order matching shirts for a flight test team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop, choose one design, paste the team's names and pick a size for each person, and every shirt prints with its own name.
What's a good gift for a test pilot who's just earned a new rating?
A hoodie or tee with the rating and the year they earned it. It marks a milestone they worked hard for and gives them something to wear to the next test.
What sizes do the test pilot shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a test pilot gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
