Gifts for Underwriting Managers

Picking a gift for an underwriting manager

Underwriting managers spend their days deciding what risk is worth taking, reviewing files that land on their desk with a deadline attached, and keeping a team of underwriters moving through the queue. Most of the work happens quietly, in spreadsheets and status meetings, so the gifts they tend to appreciate are the ones that acknowledge the job without making a fuss. A soft tee for the weekend, a hoodie for the office that runs cold, or a mug that's clearly theirs for the morning coffee before the first referral lands. Put the title on it exactly as it reads on their business card, or add the line of business they manage, such as commercial, property or life. If you're thinking about the whole team, a Team Shop order lets you print one design with each underwriter's name on their own shirt, which tends to land better than another generic team lunch. Underwriting manager is a title that means something specific to the people who hold it, so keep the wording true to their role.
