Picking a gift for a visual designer
Visual designers spend their days making things look right, and they usually notice a badly kerned sign or an off-brand color before anyone else does. A gift for them should respect that eye. A clean tee they'll actually wear to a client meeting or a studio critique beats a loud joke shirt. Their job title on a shirt or mug is a nice nod to the work they're proud of, and a hoodie is good for long hours in a cold studio or a late-night deadline at the kitchen table. A mug suits the desk, where most of their coffee gets drunk while they zoom in on pixels. The best version of this gift is the one that shows you noticed what they do: their title, set in a typeface you can tell they'd approve of, on something they'll reach for every day.
Visual Designer gift questions
Can I add a company name or a year to the shirt?
Many designs have a second line. Type a studio name, a city or a year there, and the preview will show you how it sits under the title before you order.
Is there a design that works for a creative director or art director?
The designs listed on this page are for visual designer. Check the other titles in the store if your recipient uses a different role name.
Which product works best for a designer who works from home?
The mug is the easiest daily pick, since it lives on the desk. A hoodie is better if they spend long hours somewhere cold.
What sizes do the visual designer shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a visual designer gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
