About this south hero gift
South Hero is a small island town in Lake Champlain, in Vermont, with a short list of year-round residents and a much longer list of summer people who come back every July. Someone who lives there, or who spends every summer at a camp on the shore, is likely to value a shirt that names the place without leaning on a tourist-shop cliche. Lake life means early mornings on the water, cold swims and a lot of time in old sweatshirts, so a hoodie or a dark tee in a faded tone fits how they actually spend the season. A mug is the easiest pick for the person who starts every day on the porch with coffee and the lake in view. If you're buying for a family that returns each year, a shirt with the town name and the year they first came up makes a keepsake that gets worn for decades. Add a second line with a dock name, a camp name or the family surname and the design becomes theirs alone.
