About this director location gift
A location director usually runs the day-to-day of a film or TV shoot somewhere other than a studio lot. They're the person who scouts the house with the right staircase, talks a town into closing a street for a night, and somehow gets a crew of forty out of the rain by dinner. Their days start before sunrise and often end in a van full of cables and cold coffee. What tends to land with someone like that is a gift that acknowledges the work without pretending it's glamorous. A hoodie for the early call times, a mug for the trailer or the hotel room, or a tee for the weekend they finally get to stay home. Put the word director on it, and consider adding location or the name of the production they're proudest of on the second line. It becomes a little story about their career instead of a generic job shirt, which is the detail that tends to get noticed.
All director location gifts →- A hoodie for early call timesLocation days start in the dark and the crew stands around in the cold. A director location hoodie is the one they'll reach for before the van leaves.
- An 11 oz mug for the trailerCoffee on set is a constant, so a mug with their title on it is one they'll keep at the production office.
- A tee for their days offPut director location on a T-shirt for the weekend they finally sleep in and stop checking the call sheet.
- A kids tee for the family photoIf they're always away on shoots, a matching kids design lets the family wear the job together on the rare day they're all home.
