About this ontonagon gift
Ontonagon is a small town on the Lake Superior shore of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with the town name is how someone shows where they're from, whether that's a summer on the lake, a high school that everybody knew, or a family that has been in the area for generations. Because the town is small, the people who know it will notice a shirt right away, and that recognition is part of the gift. Pair the word with a second line for a year, a street, or a nickname the family used, and it becomes a shirt only that person would wear. A hoodie suits anyone who misses the cold northern air, and a mug works for the transplant who keeps a little of home on the desk at work. Since this is a place name, you can also use the second line for a graduation year or a family name.
