About this johnston gift
Johnston is a name with real roots in Scotland, where it began as a place name, and it's carried by families all over the US, many of them spread across several states. A Johnston shirt is how a family finds each other at a reunion, a wedding or a long holiday weekend. Because the name is less common than Smith or Johnson, a Johnston design often becomes a conversation starter, and people with the name tend to be pleased that someone bothered to put it on something. Add the reunion year, the hometown where the family started, or the grandparents' first names and the shirt reads as theirs rather than generic. For a Johnston who has moved away, a mug with the name is an easy way to say you still claim them. If you're organizing a group, the Team Shop prints one design with each person's name on their own shirt, which keeps sizes sorted without a spreadsheet.
