About this rec therapist gift
Recreation therapists spend their days building programs that get people moving, talking and doing things they care about again, whether that's a group in a rehab unit, a senior center activity or a session with a teen after an injury. The job is hands-on and often loud, with a lot of planning behind every game or craft. A gift that acknowledges that work tends to land well. A tee for their drive to the facility, a hoodie for the chilly activity room, or a mug for the morning planning session all show you know what the role involves. Add the word therapist, or their specialty if you know it, and it becomes a personal piece rather than a generic one. If you're buying for a whole department, one design in the Team Shop with each person's name lets everyone wear the same shirt, which is a nice way to say thanks to the people who keep the activities running.
